Top of the World Day Hike, July 10, 2010 8:30 AM

Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park in south Orange County covers more than 4200 acres of scenic canyons, rock formations, meadows, old oaks, and is home to lots of wildlife. We will be traversing the northern portion of this beautiful area to the spectacular views of Alta Laguna Park, Top of the World, above Laguna Beach.

Evolution Basin Backpack, August 8-15, 2010

This 8 day back pack adventure is not for the faint of heart, but the views and the companionship are worth the effort. We will follow trails and strike out cross country to the emblematic heart of the Sierra - Evolution Valley. The exact initerary will depend on the weather, snow pack and group condiontioning. If you've ever hiked with Bob Talbert before, you know you're in for a great experience.

Rancho Cuyamaca, Green Valley, August 13-16, 2010

This is one of our favorite destinations. It boasts some of the best hiking trails in Southern California. The Orange County/Long Beach & San Diego Chapters have reserved space at Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. This is a mountain setting 16 miles south of Julian Ca. and east of Escondido. We will camp at about 4,500 feet in elevation in a pine forest.
